About Us

We have come a long way since we started in 2004. Some of you may remember we started out as Misty Meadows Fine Culinary Herbs and Edible Flowers with a plant offering of 31 varieties. Our son Logan Brazeau, fifteen years old at the time, was sole proprietor of the business. He was part of a young entrepreneur program sponsored by the Ontario Government. His goal was to offer his customer’s quality, healthy, certified organically grown herbs and edible flowers as an alternative to the only conventional grown plants available at the time. His customers appreciated his efforts and gave him the confidence to continue. With our support, we decided to put up a proper production greenhouse with a little store in the front for on farm sales.

That year we were able to offer 70 varieties of edible plants. Customer support and loyalty continued to grow and by the third season a new greenhouse store was erected to market the over 250 varieties of edible plants we offered.

In the spring of 2007 the business name was changed to Grow Tasty since the original name no longer said all we had to offer. The business became a partnership with Logan’s Dad and a new focus developed; we wanted to offer a wider range of edible plants and to preserve our heritage by offering some rare or endangered heirloom varieties.

The store expanded again in 2009 offering over 300 varieties of edible plants. Logan decided to continue his education handing most of the growing and management tasks to his parents.

Our focus for the new 2010 season will be to continue to offer the large selection of quality edible plants, now offering 400 varieties. Begin to develop a lavender display garden and many other exciting ideas. Our newly designed website will have areas that will help you learn how to grow your own tasty garden.

Please join in the conservation of our genetic heritage, while beautifully creating a healthy and diverse garden for your-self and future generations. Once you start you will find that edible gardens become a whole philosophy of living in harmony with nature. It’s a dependency on the four seasons and the earth to supply the bounty of flavours and textures for the kitchen.
