   The reason we sell only open-pollinated heirloom varieties of herbs and vegetables is simply diversity. Although it may look like there are a lot of seeds and plant varieties available when you browse the seed catalogues, many of those new varieties are hybrids and do not produce true if the seed is saved and replanted.
